Father’s Day Debut: David Chokachi Stars in Father-Son Survival Thriller
Film

David Chokachi is taking on a different kind of rescue mission in Married Alive, an upcoming survival thriller scheduled for release on June 21.

The film centers on Mack, a single father who sets out on an off-road trip with his son Tony before Tony’s wedding. What begins as a final bonding experience quickly turns into a fight for survival after their Jeep crashes off a cliff, leaving Tony trapped in a rising riverbed far from help. With time running out and no way to call for assistance, Mack is forced to rely on an unlikely ally—a fugitive on the run—in a desperate effort to save his son.

Written and directed by Bruce Reisman, Married Alive combines elements of a traditional survival thriller with a story focused on family relationships. The film explores how extreme circumstances can test both personal character and family bonds, particularly between a father and his adult son.

Chokachi, best known for his role as Cody Madison on Baywatch, leads the cast as Mack. He stars alongside Allen Williamson, whose television credits include The Rich & the Ruthless. The ensemble also features Yancy Butler, Skye Coyne, Zach Mendez, Aaron Fors, Matthew Reis, and Owen Alba-Harvey.

At 89 minutes, Married Alive arrives during Father’s Day weekend, a release window that aligns naturally with the film’s central themes of parenthood and sacrifice. While the movie delivers the tension and danger expected from a survival story, its emotional core remains focused on the lengths a parent will go to protect a child.

The film is produced by David Chokachi, Bruce Reisman, Yancy Butler, Ryan Brown, and Chris Harvey through Stoneypoint Entertainment LLC, with distribution handled by Studio Dome.

The release also adds to Studio Dome’s growing slate of independent genre films. The company, founded by producer Shaked Berenson, has developed a reputation for combining film distribution with technology-driven tools designed to help independent productions reach streaming audiences. In addition to managing a large catalog of titles across digital platforms, the company has several upcoming releases in development, including Zombie Plane and the horror-comedy Last Chance Motel.

For fans of survival thrillers, Married Alive offers a familiar setup driven by an emotional father-son story, placing its characters in a situation where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.

Married Alive will be released on June 21, 2026.
