Sacramento Rapper Bris Shot Dead at 24

Sacramento rapper Bris was shot dead on June 21, Sacramento County Coroner records confirm. He was 24. According to Sacramento Police, officers responded to a report of shots fired on June 21 at approximately 12:42 a.m. near Franklin Boulevard and Fruitridge Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located the rapper, born Christopher Treadwell, who had sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at scene.

The Sacramento-based rapper has been prolific over the past year. After collaborating with G-Man on the 2019 mixtape 10:42, he released songs including “Panhandling,” “Sparked a Fuse,” and “Lightning McQueen.” He was arrested at the end of 2019 and was released earlier this year. Soon after, he shared “First 42 Hours Freestyle.” Last week, Bris released a video for the new single “Need Hammy.”
