Big Joanie have shared a cover of Solange’s “Cranes in the Sky” off 2016’s A Seat At the Table. The London post-punk trio’s version of the track will appear alongside a song called “It’s You” on an upcoming 7″ that comes out August 14, 2020 via Third Man Records. The band will celebrate the 7″ at a socially-distanced release concert at London’s Ecstatic Peace Library Record Store at BOLT. Masks will be required at the August 15, 2020 event. Entry is free and proceeds from donations will go to Girls Rock London and Decolonise Fest.
Big Joanie’s last record was 2018’s Sistahs. According to a press release, Big Joanie’s next album will arrive via Kill Rock Stars.
