E! News, Pop of the Morning, In the Room: TV Series Cancelled by E! Channel

Television

There has been a huge shake-up at the E! Channel. The cable channel has cancelled three of its entertainment news programs, E! News, Pop of the Morning, and In the Room.

E! News is the channel’s longest-running program. The news series has aired since 1991, but there have been changes in the works for awhile. Last year, the series went from a nightly news program to a morning news program. It also moved to New York after having been produced in Los Angeles.

As for the other two shows on E!, Pop of the Morning is also a morning news program, but it features a panel discussing the biggest news stories in entertainment. As for In The Room, the series features celebrities being interviewed and showing off their homes.

Variety reports that the three cancellations will lead to layoffs at NBCUniversal as the company streamlines production and restructures internally. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is said to have played a role in the cancellations. It is not known when these three shows will stop airing.

What do you think? Are you surprised that the E! Channel has canceled E! News, Pop of the Morning, and In the Room? Did you watch any of these news programs?
