The Midnight Gospel: Cancelled by Netflix; No Season Two for Adult Animated Series

Television

The Midnight Gospel will not be returning for a second season. Netflix has cancelled the adult sci-fi animated series, per co-creator Duncan Trussell. The eight episodes of the first season were released in April 2020.

The Midnight Gospel follows Clancy Gilroy (Duncan Trussell) from the planet Chromatic Ribbon as he travels to various dimensions and interviews people for his spacecast. The interviews are based on actual interviews from Trussell’s podcast, The Duncan Trussell Family Hour.  Recurring characters are played by Phil Hendrie, Stephen Root, Maria Bamford, Doug Lussenhop,
Joey “Coco” Diaz, Christina P., Steve Little, and Johnny Pemberton.
