Caribou is back with another new song, plus news of a tour that extends into next year. âBroke My Heartâ follows Aprilâs single âHoney.â âI always find it hard to believe those âit came to me in a dreamâ stories about songs arriving fully formed, but this one was pretty close to that, which is not how it usually goes for me,â said Dan Snaith. âI sat down at a piano one day and the string riff was just there at my fingertips and the vocal melody followed right behind it.â Listen to it below.
Snaithâs headlining Caribou tour begins with shows in Tokyo and Amsterdam in October before he returns for a North American leg in November. The second leg starts in Vancouver, British Columbia, on November 8 and wraps in Montreal, Quebec, on November 25. Opening select dates are Yunè Pinku and Joy Orbison. In February 2025, Caribou will fly back to Europe for eight additional concerts. Check out Caribouâs complete list of tour dates below.
After putting out Suddenly in 2020, Caribou rolled out a remix version of that album, featuring contributions from Toro y Moi, Jessy Lanza, Four Tet, Floating Points, and others. Back in August 2021, Snaith also dropped the Caribou single âYou Can Do Itâ with a delightful video of dogs leaping for frisbees.
