Adele has looked ahead to finishing her long-running Las Vegas residency, saying that she has no “plans to be on stage indefinitely”.

The ’30’ singer-songwriter is due to end her Weekends With Adele run of shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace later this month, having started it two years ago.

At a recent gig last weekend, the star reiterated her plans to go on indefinite hiatus after completing the dates.

“This really is the beginning of the end. There are no other fucking shows,” Adele told the audience (via Music News). “I’m not going to be like, ‘Surprise!’ This is the end.

“It’s [the 100th and final show] the weekend before Thanksgiving, isn’t it? And that’s the last one. I don’t have any plans to be on stage indefinitely, really.”

She continued: “They say that if you want things and you are looking for things in life, you have to pay the universe and then it pays you back tenfold.”

The star also told the crowd that her life was a “thousand times better” since her Vegas residency began and said she was “genuinely sad” for it to end (via RTÉ).

“My life, not my career, not my music,” she added. “I’m talking about my actual life. And I really, truly think that this show has been my best friend throughout all of that. And I’m so genuinely sad.”

When confirming her upcoming extended break in September, Adele explained that her fans would not see her “for an incredibly long time”. She went on: “I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now.”

The singer had previously revealed that she didn’t “have any plans for new music, at all” following her Weekends With Adele run. “I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while,” she said.

Adele also confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul live on stage in Munich earlier this year, and shared her plans to have another baby.

Ticket prices for the star’s final concert before she goes on hiatus began skyrocketing earlier this year.

In other news, Adele recently embraced Meryl Streep at her show while dressed as her character from Death Becomes Her. She also reflected on her emotional mid-set exchange with Celine Dion, saying that it felt like “such a full circle moment”.
