K-pop girl group VIVIZ have made a comeback with a new single titled ‘Shhh!’.
On November 7, VIVIZ released their fifth mini-album ‘Voyage’ and a music video for its lead single ‘Shhh!’. The new visual opens in a moody bedroom as the trio get dressed up for a night out. Later, they strut through an underground tunnel and perform to the upbeat new track.
“Bo-bo-bo-bo-boy, boy, shhh! / Bo-bo-bo-bo-boy, boy, shhh! / Bo-bo-bo-bo-boy, boy, shhh! / Think no more and kiss me now,” they chant in the chorus.
In addition to the lead single, the new record includes songs like ‘Cliché’, ‘Full Moon’, ‘Hypnotize’ and ‘Love & Tears’. The last two tracks were notably penned by member Umji, while ‘Hypnotize’ was co-produced by vocalist Belle of girl group KISS OF LIFE.
‘Voyage’ marks VIVIZ’s first release of 2024, arriving a year after their November 2023 mini-album ‘Versus’. That record was led by the single ‘Maniac’ and included the B-side ‘Untie’, the latter of which was named by NME as one of the 25 best K-pop songs of 2023.
Formed by ex-GFRIEND members Eunha, SinB and Umji, VIVIZ debuted under BPM Entertainment in February 2022 after their previous contracts with Source Music expired in May 2021. The six-member act were active for six years prior to their disbandment.
In September, Source Music announced that GFRIEND would be reuniting for a
“special project” to commemorate their tenth anniversary in January 2025, nearly four years after their disbandment.
In other K-pop news, BTS leader RM has released a trailer for his upcoming documentary film RM: Right People, Wrong Place. The movie will hit theatres around the world on December 5.
