Camille and Clément Ducol have won Best Original Song at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards for “El Mal” from Emilia Pérez. Their song was in the running against tracks performed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Challengers’ “Compress/Repress”); Miley Cyrus, Lykke Li, and Andrew Wyatt (The Last Showgirl’s “Beautiful That Way”); Maren Morris (The Wild Robot’s “Kiss the Sky”); and Robbie Williams, Freddy Wexler, and Sacha Skarbek (Better Man’s “Forbidden Road”).

Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh presented the award to Camille and Clément Ducol, with the former taking to the microphone to give a speech. “This is such an American experience,” laughed Camille. “You know, songs are butterflies, and we need butterflies, even if it’s to denounce the corruption in the world. So first, thank you to all singer-songwriters in the world; thank you, of course, to the Golden Globes and its members; thank you to Netflix and its publicists; and thank you to our Emilia Pérez family.”

Earlier in the evening, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won Best Original Score for their work on Challengers. They beat out former Yuck frontman Daniel Blumberg (The Brutalist), Hans Zimmer (Dune: Part Two), Volker Bertelmann (Conclave), Camille and Clément Ducol (Emilia Pérez), and Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot) for the trophy.

The 2024 Golden Globe for Best Original Song went to Billie Eilish and Finneas for “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie. That same year, Ludwig Göransson won Best Original Score for his work on Oppenheimer.
