Frightened Rabbit have announced a reissue of their 2010 album The Winter of Mixed Drinks, as Rolling Stone points out. The release will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Scottish group’s third studio LP. The band also tweeted the news yesterday. “The Winter of Mixed Drinks, now 10 years old, is a cocktail of emotions for us,” they wrote. “Perhaps through it we will all find a little lightness to help us through one of the darkest winters.” Find their full post below.
In addition to a blue vinyl reissue of The Winter of Mixed Drinks, Frightened Rabbit will include a 7″ featuring live versions of “The Wrestle” and “Things,” recorded in 2010 at Cleveland’s Grog Shop and 2016 at London’s the Roundhouse, respectively. The reissue arrives December 11 via Warner. Pre-orders are currently available.
Frightened Rabbit frontman Scott Hutchison died in 2018 at the age of 36. Since his passing, a number of artists have paid tribute to him. Last year, Frightened Rabbit released Tiny Changes: A Celebration of Frightened Rabbit’s ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’, which featured various musicians covering songs from the band’s 2008 album The Midnight Organ Fight.
