Irene is a straight ally taking house and pop music by storm ….a genre of music first associated with the underground gay club culture sprouting gay anthems that were embraced and created around the queer influence, and still celebrated today. She will be seen in the midst of the most colorful parade, at the huge Penthouse Party, dancing through The Monster, and making her presence known at the iconic Stone Wall….Irene is a Get Out Magazine Award winner for her House Music song “I Like Rain.”
On Tuesday July 9, 2024 Irene will again be making waves as Arny Granat Presents “Irene Michaels & Friends” at Jazz Showcase (Where Jazz Lives in Chicago). Irene will be performing along with Nick Psyhogios (both nominees for this year’s Josie Music Awards), and The Beaus. Her timeless sensitivity and tantalizing performances have captivated audiences leading her to her success as a singer.
Michaels was just officially nominated for her song “My Last Love” (EDM version) for the Hollywood Independent Music Awards in Hollywood California. The Red Carpet event is a global platform for emerging and established artists, songwriters and composers. The HIMA provides resources, tools, education, and opportunities to help music artists develop successful careers.
Once again, Irene is nominated for the Josie Music Awards in several categories. Last year she won Best Pop Song of the Year for “I Like Rain.” The Josie Music Awards are the biggest, most revered, most respected and most prestigious event in the Independent Music Industry. They will be celebrating their 10th anniversary on Saturday October 26, 2024 at the CMA Theater in the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum where Irene will be performing. Then on Sunday October 27, 2024 the Award ceremonies will be held at The Grand Ole Opry, both in Nashville TN.
