Jay Worthy, the Compton rapper who was among the performers at Kendrick Lamarâs recent Pop Out concert, has announced an album with fellow Californian DÄm Funk. The new album, Magic Hour, lands on July 12 via Empire. Below, watch the video for the musiciansâ new single, â105 West,â featuring Ty Dolla $ign, Channel Tres, DJ Quik, and A-Trak.
â105 Westâ follows Worthy and DÄm Funkâs recent song with DRAM, âWestside.â The artists had previously come together, in 2021, for âAll Overâ and âMoonlight.â
Earlier this year, Worthy reunited with producer Sean House for the new Lndn Drgs album Affiliated 2. And, last year, he shared the collaborative projects Nothing Bigger Than the Program (with Roc Marciano) and The Am3rican Dream (with Kamaiyah and Harry Fraud).
DÄm Funk closed 2023 with DÄm Funk Presents the Music of Grand Theft Auto Online (Original Score), and he kicked off 2024 with his Out the Way EP.
