Juliana Hatfield has announced a new album called Blood. It’s out May 14 via American Laundromat Records. She’s shared the first track from the album, “Mouthful of Blood.” Listen to it below.
Blood is Hatfield’s 19th solo album, and she recorded it at home in Massachusetts. “I think these songs are a reaction to how seriously and negatively a lot of people have been affected by the past four years. But it’s fun, musically. There’s a lot of playing around. I didn’t really have a plan when I started this project,” she said in a statement about the project.
In 2019, Hatfield released an album of originals titled Weird and the covers collection Juliana Hatfield Sings the Police.
