Kendall Jenner Responds to Rumors That She Is the ‘Mean Girl’ On ‘The Kardashians’

LifeStyle

During the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kendall Jenner addressed rumors from the public about what kind of person she is — a mean one. In the episode, the model was visiting Las Vegas for work and feeling anxious, which makes her put on a somewhat cool and detached persona. But she knows that this behavior can create misconceptions.

“I think the one that hurts the most is that people think I’m a mean girl,” said Jenner. “Cause that’s just not the case. It can be upsetting when someone is questioning your character. And if only people knew me.”

She continued in a side interview, “Anything I do gets hate. I could be walking down the street doing absolutely nothing and somebody always has something bad to say.”

After the Las Vegas event, which she found “overwhelming,” Jenner stated that she’d prefer to have a career that’s not in the spotlight.

“I wanna be on a farm in Wyoming with a ton of animals,” she fantasized. “ “That’s where I wanna be.”

The 818 tequila founder has discussed her issues with anxiety before, and said in an interview with i-D magazine in February that things have changed since she had more control over her image. She began appearing in her family’s reality TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians when she was still a child.

“At a young age, I had to give up that control and let someone else portray me in the way that they wanted to, for an editorial or a campaign or commercial – whatever it was,” she said. “That was my job.”

She added, “Now, being on the other side is taking that control back in a way, building my own brand, and feeling empowered – and it has been really amazing. As a woman and as someone who comes from a really female-driven family, it was really cool to put all my tools to work.”
