This year has been one disappointment after another, but here’s a sliver of good news: Lily Allen and David Habour have obtained their marriage license.
According to Us Weekly, the singer and Stranger Things actor visited Las Vegas’ Clark County Clerk’s Office on Sunday, September 6, to complete martial paperwork. Not to be mistaken with a marriage certificate—which proves you are married—the marriage license is a document you obtain prior to your marriage. The couple has one year to make things official, be it in the form of an extravagant wedding or a marriage certificate, before the license expires.
Neither party has confirmed or denied the news, but the couple has been romantically linked for some time now and made their relationship red carpet official earlier this year at the 26th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The couple sparked engagement rumors when Allen was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand during an outing with Harbour back in December 2019 and seemingly confirmed her engagement in May 2020 in an Instagram post of her posing in a mirror with her hand on her hip, showing off a ring on that finger. “Daily Mail readers gon say it’s photoshop. I AM RIPPED don’t @ me,” she captioned the photo, a subtle attempt to divert attention away from the ring and to her abs.

Allen was previously married to Sam Cooper and tied the knot in 2011 before divorcing in 2018. The former couple share two children, Ethel and Marnie.
