New “Bring Music Home” Initiative Announces Fundraiser for Shuttered Concert Venues

Music

Bring Music Home” is a new fundraising initiative co-founded by Amber Mundinger, Tamara Deike and Kevin Condon. Joining with photographers and creatives, BMH is capturing photos of shuttered venues across the United States and conducting interviews with venue owners, promoters, and bookers, in an effort to document how the COVID-19 has affected their businesses and lives. Photographs and interviews from over 200 venues will be shared on Instagram and compiled into a book that will be published later this fall, with proceeds going towards the National Independent Venues Assocation (NIVA), a new coalition of independent venues that was formed in March.

BMH has also partnered with several graphic artists to create new screen-printed posters for several different cities (New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Nashville, and Portland). Artists include Young & Sick, Justin Prince, Josh Shearon, Pilar Zeta, and Jose Berrio. You can check out those posters here; all proceeds go towards the NIVA Emergency Relief Fund.
