Nick Jonas Shares Rare Photo With Daughter Malti Marie in Affectionate Instagram Post

LifeStyle

Malti Marie, daughter of singer Nick Jonas and actress Priyanka Chopra-Jonas, is already growing up so fast. In an affectionate Instagram photo posted by the “Close” singer on Monday, Jonas gazed at his 17-month-old daughter as he held her in the crook of his arm. He captioned the image with a simple but declarative, “❤️ .”

The sweet father-daughter moment comes amongst a wave of press for Jonas and his brothers, Joe and Kevin, as they prepare to embark on a tour in August that will encompass five of the Jonas Brothers’ beloved records—including their latest, The Album.

One song off The Album, in particular, is meant as a tribute to Malti Marie, as well as Kevin and Joe’s daughters. The lyrics include, “Darling there’s a train coming in your life that you’ve gotta catch but that’s not right now / Small hands (wrapped around my finger, wrapped around my finger) / We dance (trying to let it linger, trying to let it linger).” In an interview with Variety, Jonas revealed that his favorite song off The Album is either “Waffle House” or “Little Bird,” “which is a song about parenthood that will affect people in different ways,” he said.

At the premiere of his new short film, The Good Half, Jonas also gave People a small glimpse into his life as a father—and what he’s planning for Father’s Day.

“My dad did an incredible job of making sure that everyone else felt loved on Father’s Day, and I’m going to try to adopt that from him,” he said. “We as fathers would not be where we are as fathers without incredible women to make that dream come true. And I’m so grateful to share this journey with my wife, who’s just an absolute boss and amazing mother.”
