Altadena, CA – In response to the ongoing hardships faced by residents in the Altadena and Pasadena areas, Pow Wow on Parade, co-founded by Baltazar Fedalizo, is stepping up with a vital food and supply distribution event aimed at helping those who are unable to leave their homes.
“We consider Altadena and Pasadena our home. This community is our family, and we’re here for them,” said Baltazar Fedalizo, Co-Founder and Principal of Pow Wow on Parade. “While discussions focus on long-term rebuilding, our priority right now is helping people get through today. When the time comes, we’ll be ready to support the rebuild, but right now, we’re working to ensure survival by providing food and essential supplies.”
The organization has been in ongoing discussions with local officials to cut through the red tape, securing the necessary approvals to bring aid directly to those most in need.
Event Details:
- Date: January 14, 2025
- Time: 10:00 AM until supplies run out
- Location: 1880 N Lake Avenue, Altadena, CA 91101
Fedalizo also highlighted the organization’s commitment to addressing issues affecting the Native American population:
“Our team has been working closely with local, state, and federal legislators to advocate for correcting historical wrongs and sharing the truth of our history. We aim to inspire people to learn our story. My family has a long legacy of serving this community, this state, and our nation, and we will continue to lead where we are needed.”
Community members unaffected by the fires are encouraged to support the effort by making donations at the event.
