Prince William has celebrated his 42nd birthday by attending Taylor Swift‘s ‘Eras’ tour stop at Wembley – see pictures and videos below.

Last night (June 21), Swift kicked off the first of eight sold-out shows at Wembley over the coming months. While news of the singer debuting ‘The Black Dog’ at the show made initial headlines, it has now been revealed that the Prince of Wales and his kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte were also in attendance.

Swift has shared a birthday post in honour of Prince William, writing: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start”. The post was accompanied by a selfie featuring Swift, Prince William, George, Charlotte and Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Since then, footage of Prince William dancing along to ‘Shake It Off’ has found its way onto social media. Check out fan-shot footage of Prince Williams getting groovy below.

This isn’t the first time that Prince William and Taylor Swift have met. In 2013, the two shared the stage with Jon Bon Jovi at a charity event at Kensington Palace, where the trio performed ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’.

Elsewhere during Swift’s Wembley gig, she said to the audience: “London, you have always been in my corner. You have been some of the most supportive people throughout the entire time I have been making music.” She also debut a mashup of ‘Hits Different’ and ‘Death By A Thousand Cuts’.

The Edinburgh date of the ‘Eras’ tour received a five-star review from NME, with Hannah Mylrea writing: “Despite being an arena show, in a huge, cavernous venue, Swift and her fans have managed to cultivate a community. This is a marvel of a show that comes with a beating heart.”
