The 18th annual Golden Heart Awards — the marquee gala fundraiser presented by God’s Love We Deliver — will spread a lot of love towards honorees Sarah Jessica Parker and Megan Thee Stallion.
For the first time, the event, which will be presented in partnership with Michael Kors, will be held at New York’s historic Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine on Oct. 21. The Golden Heart Awards program will also feature a special performance by Sam Smith.
Anna Wintour continues to serve as honorary chairwoman alongside returning co-chairs Kors, John Idol and Blaine Trump. The night’s menu will be curated by restaurateur, caterer and cookbook author Melba Wilson of Melba’s Restaurant in Harlem, with stage and screen star Erich Bergen back on board as producer and director for a fifth time. Additional special guests expected.
God’s Love We Deliver serves as a nonprofit provider of medically tailored meals and nutrition services for individuals living with severe illness. The event will raise funds for its services. Last year’s event, honoring Scarlett Johansson and Ben Platt, tallied more than $3.5 million, a sum that was used to provide more than 350,000 meals for clients and families.
Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Parker will next be seen in season three of the Max hit series And Just Like That. For the Grammy winning performer and entrepreneur, news of the honor comes during a busy week for Megan Thee Stallion as she’s set to host this year’s VMAs, taking place in a few days, on Sept. 11, at New York’s UBS Arena. She also just debuted in a Pepsi ad that helped kick off the new NFL season.
