Single/Video Review: Revolushn: “Electric”

“Electric” by Psych/Art-Rock San Francisco-based anomaly Revolushn is Electrifying!  It’s a fuck you, I win, orgasmic reflection on today’s climate without even looking back. It’s makes a wild statement rebelling against everything except freedom…..freedom remember that?  The band is creating a massive Spotify upset and a YouTube buzz with its courageous anthemic message and edgy video.

Revolushn frontman No Mansfield has sessioned with the likes of Rod Stewart and Aretha Franklin while the drummer, Dave Kendrick is from the band Devo and the saxophone player is Scott Page from Pink Floyd. So you take a bunch of icons and add a classically trained pianist who is a warrior from the Russian army and a bass player with purple hair and a pretty girl lead singer….how can you go wrong?

Musically it’s catchy, contagious, but most importantly fun. The video is defiant, disobedient, insubordinate, and disinfected. It’s creative, message driven, and artistic. It jumps from Homeless to robotic skeletons to the band in concert with bursts of psychedelic color, and a crowded audience as they “light up the world.”  It ends with jazzy sax notes which once again brings the band to another layer of greatness.

You need a modern day protest song…well here it is and it’s “Electric.” I’ve never heard a band say fuck you in such a happy way!
