On October 14, 2022 London based superstar Tony Moore (Iron Maiden, Cutting Crew) released his heartwarming single “I Cry For You”, on miniMAJOR Music, a great and inspirational tribute to his mom who recently passed. The song was originally written on the eve when his mom’s dementia became so bad that she didn’t realize who he was. The song was written and produced solely by Tony in his own shed at the bottom of his mother’s garden.
In the words of Tony “this was a devastating moment in my life and I turned to music to help me channeled my grief. Having played this song many times live now, I have discovered so many other people that have had the same or similar experience, so I wanted to put this song out for all of us.”
Many of Tony’s songs spawn a tear, but this one is beyond tears in a very beautiful way. It inspires those who have been through similar situations to keep on living until they feel alive again. We take refuge in echoes that are familiar, and one of the greatest gifts is to know that we do not travel alone, we have hands to hold and hearts to warm us and songs like Tony’s to keep that intention alive.
“I Cry For You” is filled with vivid memories for Tony and relentless emotions for everyone who has lost a mom. At any moment we can choose to take a deep breath and set an intention to do things differently and to appreciate the people in our lives. This song reminds us to appreciate and to never forget…..
