Nina Dobrev, Candice King and Kat Graham will always find their way back to Mystic Falls.

The three actresses who starred in The Vampire Diaries had a reunion this weekend at the I Was Feeling Festive 2 convention in Covington, Georgia, where they took photos with fans as well as participated in panel discussions.

Dobrev, King and Graham, who played Elena Gilbert, Caroline Forbes and Bonnie Bennett, respectively, posted a joint video on Instagram, which was set to the Simple Plan song “I’m Just a Kid.” The clip featured them recreating a throwback photo from their younger days filming the show.

“We’re still just kids,” they captioned the post.

Dobrev, Graham and King first appeared onscreen together during the show’s premiere on Sept. 10, 2009. The Vampire Diaries ran for eight seasons before wrapping in 2017, however, Dobrev departed the show at the end of season six but returned for an appearance in the series finale.

The hit show, also starring Paul Wesley and Damon Salvatore, centered on the love triangle between teen Elena and two vampire brothers, Stefan Salvatore (Wesley) and Damon Salvatore (Somerhalder). But danger and disaster followed them, dragging Elena and her friends into the supernatural world of Mystic Falls, Virginia, full of vampires, witches, werewolves and more.

Dobrev, Graham and King weren’t the only Vampire Diaries alums who made appearances at the fan convention in Covington. Wesley, Somerhalder, Michael Malarkey (Enzo), Arielle Kebbel (Lexi) and Zach Roerig (Matt), among others, were also in attendance.

Earlier this year, to celebrate 15 years since The Vampire Diaries premiered, showrunner Julie Plec reflected on the series she created with Kevin Williamson and how it launched a supernatural franchise, including The Originals and Legacies.

During her chat with The Hollywood Reporter, she recalled wanting to “tell a really emotional story that was sexy and romantic and scary and all the things,” while also creating “something that felt timeless, that could live on and continue to feel like anybody, any generation at any time can connect to it.”
