Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married — and several Good Morning America hosts who attended the wedding dished new details about their big day.
On Friday, July 3, the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, said “I do” in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden in New York City. GMA hosts George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts, and Michael Strahan all attended the star-studded nuptials, and they couldn’t help but marvel over how “intimate” the ceremony was.
“We can confirm that, yes, Stevie Nicks did perform,” Roberts, 65, shared in a clip posted on the ABC morning show’s Instagram grid on Saturday, July 4.
She added, “It really was intimate, wasn’t it, guys?”
To that, Stephanopoulos, 65, added, “As intimate as it could possibly be, given that it was Madison Square Garden. Really, this garden inside the Garden. It was just so beautiful.”
He continued, marveling, “It’s hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and so intimate.” Roberts interjected, “Because they had their neighbors, their high school friends. It was like any wedding that you would attend.”
“It was their dream wedding, and it really was amazing,” Strahan, 54, agreed. “Congratulations to both of them.”
Additionally, Roberts pointed out that Swift and Kelce wrote their own vows, to which Lara Spencer replied, “You would expect nothing less from Taylor Swift.”
Concluding the clip, Strahan said, “And on the topic of congratulations,” before looking into the camera, “Thank you for inviting us. We really appreciate it.”
In a statement following the wedding, Swift’s rep, Tree Paine, revealed that the bride and groom’s looks were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture.
It added, “Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler.”
Aside from the GMA hosts, the wedding guest list included celebrities like Mariska Hargitay, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Hugh Grant, Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Jason Sudeikis, Ethan Hawke, Jimmy Fallon, Jack Antonoff, Lena Dunham, Erin Andrews, Selena Gomez, and countless others.
