Jon Stewart Thinks He Just Spotted Trump’s Body Double

Jon Stewart had a shocking realization while discussing Donald Trump‘s attendance at the World Cup on the July 20 episode of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart. The comedian played a clip of Trump speaking in front of Air Force One after the game, then had producers rewind the footage so he could get a closer look at the man walking behind the president on the tarmac.

“What’s up with the guy behind Trump?” he wondered. “Who the f**k is this guy? Who the f**k is this? Who in the world is this? Oh my God, is that a back-up Trump?! Wait a minute. Hold on a second! Wait, what? Wait, who? What? Is that a back-up Trump or is that [actually] Trump?”

He then questioned whether the man “we’ve been dealing with” is actually the “back-up Trump.” He concluded the segment by raising his hands to his head in confusion before moving on.

Stewart then began his next topic: the Iran War. He had a graphic of Iran come up on the screen as he began discussing the situation, but shortly after he started, a video of Trump started playing over the image.

“You’re not in this graphic! You’re not in this graphic! We have talked about this. Get him out of the graphic,” Stewart ranted, resulting in laughter and applause from the audience. “Is that real Trump or back-up Trump?”

Stewart also took the time to mock Trump for overstaying his welcome on stage when Spain was celebrating their World Cup win. “What the f**k are you doing on the stage?” he questioned. “It’s for the players, godd**n. Why must everything be tainted by the overinflated ego of Cankles Muldoon? Why!?”

After the clip of Trump alleging that the 2026 World Cup tournament was “four times greater than any FIFA ever held,” Stewart joked, “Is that what they told you? You know, they’re telling you that because everyone around you lies to you because you’re a little baby.”
