The Real World alum Kelley Wolf revealed a mental health diagnosis and published an apology to her ex-husband, Scott Wolf, as celebrities and fans showered her with support.

On Friday, August 28, Kelley, 49, took to Instagram with a heartfelt message following a tumultuous time in her life.

“Sometimes words fall short… but love never does,” she captioned the post. “Thank you for all the love, grace, and encouragement you have shown me and our family. My gratitude is immeasurable.”

In June 2025, Scott, 58, was granted temporary custody of their three children — Jackson, 17, Miller, 13, and Lucy, 12 — and a restraining order against Kelley after she and the Party of Five star separated following 21 years of marriage. Kelley was arrested that August and charged with electronically harassing and doxxing incidents involving Scott. (Ultimately, the charges were dismissed.) In September 2025, Kelley announced her plans to enter a rehabilitation treatment center.

In her Instagram update, Kelley explained what she went through during that time.

“It’s been a year since I recognized what everyone around me could see: I was not well, and I needed help,” she wrote. “I felt like my brain had been hijacked, and the world was moving at the speed of a freight train. It turns out that is exactly what happened, but I didn’t know it.”

Kelley admitted that she had “no awareness of my actions” and that she was “completely delusional.” However, after a year of working with “incredible doctors, therapists, psychologists, and healers,” she now has an answer.

“What I experienced was diagnosed as breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis — which means it had never happened before, and I pray never again — caused by stress, past trauma, hormonal shifts, and hallucinogens mixed with prescribed medications. A perfect storm.”

Additionally, Kelley issued a public apology to her ex-husband, Scott.

“I am so sorry. My husband of twenty years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal. The things I did, said, wrote, and posted caused profound harm and were not based in truth or reality. And they caused pain I could never imagine to the people I love most.”

In the comments, celebrities and fans alike flooded Kelley’s comments with words of support. Rosie O’Donnell wrote, “I have so much respect for ur handling of this horrible time u and ur family went thru publicly – and thrilled u have found peace – sending so much love to u all.”

Billy Bush declared, “Kell…I love you. That’s it,” while Kristin Chenoweth shared three red heart emojis.

The Bachelor alum Trista Sutter commented, “Such powerful and thoughtful and important words. Thank you for your vulnerability. There is healing in that, as you know so well. Love you.”

Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user pointed out, “This is really vulnerable and brave and all any of the people who’ve been hurt by this could ask for.”
