Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird is speaking out after her 8-year-old daughter was removed from a fancy private school. And Pumpkin claims it’s all because of her racy OnlyFans content.
Now Mama June‘s daughter is considering taking legal action over what happened.
“Pumpkin” told TMZ that she is “weighing her options” after the Georgia school she enrolled her daughter, Ella, in took back her acceptance because of Efird’s OnlyFans account. She contacted school staff about a week and a half before the decision was made, and she said everyone was “warm and communicative.”
Efird and Ella had visited the school, and there seemed to be no concerns about Efird’s online content. However, Efird received a call on August 28 telling her to come in for a mandatory meeting. School administrators told Efird they knew about her online presence and had to withdraw Ella from their school, giving her back her deposit.
“Now that I know you guys are this judgy, my child doesn’t need to be here anyway,” The alum told the school.
Efird told the outlet that she is considering taking legal action. She believes they should have disclosed any issues they had with her online content before accepting Ella into the school.
She shares Ella with her ex-husband, Joshua Efird, whom she was married to from 2018 to 2024. The exes also share Stella, Sylus, and Bentley together.
In a Facebook post, Efird shared that Ella will be homeschooled, according to Page Six. She explained that she was trying to get Ella out of her current school and into a private one because she needed a more challenging curriculum.
“I believe Ella deserved better than to be sitting outside in the front office, completely unaware that she was essentially being rejected from a school she was so excited to attend because of her mother’s social media presence,” Pumpkin wrote on Facebook. “At the very least, the situation could have been handled with more transparency and consideration.”
“We’ve found a homeschool teacher who’s willing to provide the higher criteria Ella needs, and now she will enjoy the comfort of not being put into a judgmental system.”
On the TMZ Podcast, Efird revealed that she makes between $14,000 and $15,000 per day on the platform. She launched her account in March and has ventured into making explicit content with her boyfriend, Darrin Kitchens.
