Rising techno-pop singer MERCY will be performing live on the Ibiza Pride main stage at the Diversity Celebration on Saturday, on Sept. 11, 2021.

Her show will be MERCY’s first European appearance in the lead up blitz to her official December 2021 launch and it is one of the first officially confirmed events for the nine-day extravaganza hosted on Ibiza, one of the Balearic Islands just off the east coast of Spain in the western Mediterranean Sea.

The island is well-known for its over-the-top club events and strong electronic dance music scene. MERCY isn’t nervous about anything.

“Let’s see, I have a background in burlesque, fire dancing, circus performing, and music,” MERCY said. “I think I’ll fit in just fine.”

The Diversity Celebration features something for everyone, including art and photography exhibitions, a selection of documentaries, numerous sports activities, and several theatre performances and movie screenings. However, musical entertainment, including live performances and club events, will be the backbone of the annual gathering.

When MERCY hits the stage, the set list will include two tracks, “Dearest Alice” and “Going Down,” from her upcoming debut release.

“‘Going Down’ is, right now, my favorite song of mine,” she said. “I write my own music and this track has a special place in my heart and is a fantastic dance song.”

The Diversity Celebration is typically held in June, but the COVID pandemic cancelled the event in 2020 and organizers have pushed the event into September to both allow for proper planning and to put the necessary safeguards in place.

MERCY’s performance will be held the same day as the Diversity Celebration party in Playa de s’Arenal de Saint Antoni.

“This beach is one of the reasons why people travel around the world to visit this island,” MERCY said. “It’s the pinnacle of what you picture when you think of sitting on the beach, relaxing, in the Mediterranean. It’s amazing, out of this world.”

Speaking of out of this world, MERCY’s stage presence is built on a lifetime of singing, burlesque, circus performance and stunt action. Her performance will feature pyrotechnics, cryotechnics and smoke effects along with an on-stage costume change.

“We have quite a show planned,” she said. “The saying goes, ‘You only get one chance to make a good first impression.’ This is going to be a show no one will ever forget. It’s going to blow your mind.”
