Carl Iverson:
CH2O, INC. was founded by my father in 1977 and was transitioned to the second generation of Iverson family ownership in 1993. Our basic mission was and is to provide the world with safe water. We use chlorine dioxide technologies to refine the quality of water for irrigation and other purposes. We offer a wide range of products and services for water treatment applications, such as horticulture and agriculture, and commercial and industrial applications. CH2O has been awarded many domestic and international patents for our products, compositions, and innovative methods. We have also received multiple Outstanding Service Awards for the work we do with our customers. Coming this far wasn’t easy at all. But I believe when you chase a goal with all your heart, you can achieve it. CH2O is the real proof of it.

Your company’s patented Sure Flow system is very famous. Tell us about how it works and why farmers love it so much.
Carl Iverson:
Sure Flow is one of my personal favorites. It is an oxidizer-chelant combination. This system is basically an irrigation line treatment system. We specifically designed it to help farmers and cultivators control the spread of plant disease through irrigation water. It helps eliminate microorganisms that might harm crops or plants. Sure Flow also kills algae and slime that can plug emitters. Sure Flow also solves another major problem, the formation of crystalline mineral deposits in irrigation systems. Sure Flow solves two really big problems and promotes a healthy environment for plant growth, and that is why farmers and cultivators absolutely love it.

What kind of irrigation system is Sure Flow fit for?
Carl Iverson:
Water scarcity requires farmers to use low-flow drip irrigation systems, and we have designed Sure Flow exactly for that. It also works well for other water systems, such as wells, ponds, canals, and storage tanks. Sure Flow ensures a “bio-clean” environment.

Just for reference, can you tell us some Sure Flow success stories?
Carl Iverson:
Sure, why not. Let me tell you about Westerlay Orchids. It’s a California company that grows orchids. Their orchids were seriously attacked by Pseudomonas and Erwinia. These are bacteria that spread through water, which means their irrigation water was contaminated. They have a very high production volume and customer demand, and they needed to solve the problem as soon as possible. So, they came to us, and we recommended Sure Flow. We disinfected their water with the help of a non-halogenated oxidizer. Along with that, we used a chelant that grabs onto minerals in the water, including iron and other trace nutrients, and keeps them in solution so they are available for the plants.
