A physical therapist has suggested that President Donald Trump may have suffered a stroke based on a strange handshake he gave French President Emmanuel Macron at the recent G7 summit.
Adam James, a licensed physical therapist, appeared on the latest episode of The David Pakman Show, where he discussed Trump’s movements at the summit. During the discussion, Pakman played a clip of the Trump/Macron handshake, in which the president’s hand was almost vertical.
“Normally, [Trump] loves to do this power move where he shakes the hand of a dignitary or a person that he’s set to meet with, and he holds their hand really tightly, and he refuses to let go,” James explained.
“Yes, he plays the tug-of-war games,” Pakman added.
“Right, it’s an intimidation tactic,” James continued. “Normally, when we see him do this, his elbow is at his side, and his left shoulder is facing the camera. So he’s able to accomplish what he does with no help from his right shoulder. So now when he’s placed on Macron’s right, he has to reach across his body, which involves the rotator cuff, the deltoids.”
James noted how “weak” Trump’s right shoulder appears, suggesting it could have been affected by a stroke. He also said he’s noticed “weakness on the right side of his face and right arm and leg, at times.” However, he said the president would have been able to conceal his symptoms due to intervention from the White House medical team.
“Anytime he would display any symptoms of stroke, he’s going to get that intervention as soon as possible,” he stated. “The White House is basically a hospital step-down unit, so he can receive whatever he needs as soon as he possibly could need it.”
Earlier in the conversation, James also said he believes Trump has shown signs of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). “Trump has shown signs of FTD going back over a decade, and it’s wild,” he said, noting how even Jeffrey Epstein aired his suspicions of Trump having dementia in email correspondences released in the Epstein files.
Trump has frequently boasted of his “excellent” health, including how he’s “aced” several cognitive tests. However, critics have questioned why the president continues to be given these tests, which are typically used as dementia screening tools.
