Ted Lasso is welcoming a member of the cast’s family as Cristo Fernández‘s sister, Paloma Cinco, joins the series for Season 4 on Apple TV.
As viewers will recall, Fernández portrays fan-favorite character Dani Rojas, whose innate talent quickly wowed Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and company when he joined A.F.C. Richmond in Season 1. And recently, Fernández’s onscreen tagline of “Football is life” proved true as his skills landed him a spot on the USL Championship team El Paso Locomotive, reviving his professional career in the sport after having previously pursued it before acting.

Richmond is working on launching with the help of Coach Lasso. In a brief exchange with Coaches Beard (Brendan Hunt) and Lasso, the former says, “But football is life…” to which Cinco’s mystery character responds, “No, life is so much more than football.”

The prompt from Coach Beard indicates that whoever Cinco is playing, she must have some connection to Dani Rojas, but only time will tell as we await the comedy’s long-awaited return.
