Applying AI/SI to the GEOINT Mission

Artificial intelligence is changing how intelligence organizations collect, process and exploit satellite imagery. As the volume of Earth observation data grows, AI is becoming essential for identifying patterns, detecting anomalies and delivering intelligence at operational speed.

Join SpaceNews and Vantor on Oct. 29 for a virtual event that will explore how machine learning is transforming the GEOINT mission across defense, intelligence and commercial markets.

Speakers will discuss advances in automated target recognition, change detection, multimodal data fusion and large language models, as well as the challenges of validating AI outputs and maintaining analyst trust. The conversation will consider where AI delivers its greatest operational value, where humans remain indispensable and how intelligence organizations can adapt to persistent, data-driven surveillance.

Speakers:

• Peter Wilczynski, chief product officer, Vantor
• Joe O’Callaghan, director, Super Intelligence (SI) Mission, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
• Matt Maroofi, senior director of product, Shield AI
• Moderated by SpaceNews

Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence to unlock a more autonomous, interoperable world. We give decision makers and operators the power to build a unified intelligence picture, delivering the clarity they need to navigate what’s happening now and shape what’s coming next. We fuse data from our constellation, which includes the most capable imaging satellites on orbit, with real-time sensor feeds from space, air, and ground to create an AI-ready digital twin of Earth. Our spatial intelligence platform automates every part of the cycle—from tasking to collection to production—to update and analyze this foundation at the pace of change. Our products drive deeper mission-critical insights and connect the next generation of autonomous systems across the defense, intelligence, and commercial landscape.
