Audrey Meigel’s latest chapter is taking shape through both music and movement. Her single “Here for a While,” released October 2, introduces a rock edge to her recorded sound while a dance-driven performance project develops alongside it.

Co-written by Meigel and Danny Jacobson, “Here for a While” reflects on the transition from being young to becoming an adult. Meigel says the song captures the feeling of being caught between those stages, and that its rock influence makes it a first for her singles.

“This release feels like the start of a new chapter for me because it’s the first of my singles to have a rock edge,” Meigel said.

Her performance plans have also involved an intensive creative process. After working with a celebrity choreographer in Naples, Florida, Meigel held auditions across the United States. Eight selected dancers joined her for three days of learning choreography for the new concept, which is expected to roll out in the coming months.

Eric T. Johnson of N.I. Music Group was part of the creative team behind the single. Meigel is now moving toward her upcoming EP, Eye of the Storm, scheduled for November 27. Together, the release and project point to a period of creative expansion across sound, choreography, and live performance.
