The PondHawks – Waking Up America with “Invisible Stranger”

Music

With the second wave of the pandemic in front of us we are reminded of the inspirational admonitory exposed in the Chicago based Duo The PondHawks in their newest release “Invisible Stranger.” On top of the indie bands worldwide, the unique pop/rock sound of Jorie Gracen and Mario Novelli draws a loyal fan-base and a massive social media presence.

“Invisible Stranger” is somewhat of a dark warning with a melodious harmony so present in the band’s style. The relevance of the song applauds today’s situation but inspires those in isolation as well. Scary times brings forth music with scary subject matter, but The PondHawks made the best of the situation with their audacious and tenacious creativity both lyrically and instrumentally. Their song writing is both courageous and heartfelt and captures their own essence of fear of today’s climate. Thus, the song is both believable and passionate.

The two fine musicians, singers and songsters meld their talents to become one. Their influences come from The Beatles, Wings and ELO. Following in the footsteps of these iconic groups, The PondHawks manage to hold their own. Though the song has an element of darkness, I believe they took a risk and without risks there are no possibilities….so hats off to them. Their music touches the heart and the soul of humanity…..
