The Wishwall Foundation Funds Empowerment Baking “Rise up women “ Project for 200 Women

[Kampala, Uganda] – NFDO-Uganda is pleased to announce the launch of an innovative baking project, funded by The Wishwall Foundation whose founder is a generous and beautiful lady in the names of Simonetta Lein.

This project is aimed at empowering 200 women. mostly the abused, teenage mothers and single mothers in wakiso district in Uganda.

The six-month project, commencing on March 24th, 2025, will take place at the NFDO-Uganda office premises, providing a spacious and convenient location for participants.

This initiative seeks to equip women with essential baking skills, promoting economic independence, and enhancing their livelihoods. The project’s objective is to foster a supportive environment where women can acquire new skills, build confidence, and develop a sense of community.

“We are grateful for the Wishwall Foundation’s generous support, which enables us to implement this transformative project,” said Ainebyona Marium , Project Coordinator. “Our goal is to create a positive impact on the lives of these 200 women, empowering them to become agents of change in their communities.”

The baking project will provide:

– Comprehensive baking training
– Access to resources and equipment
– Mentorship and guidance
– Opportunities for income generation
Various activities will be carried out to equip the ladies with different abilities that will help them thrive in life ,And below are the activities that will take place during the 6 months project,
1. Training Sessions: Basic baking skills, cake decorating, bread and pastry making, entrepreneurship, and marketing.
2. Practical Sessions: Hands-on baking, cake decorating, and bread and pastry making.
3. Mentorship and Guidance: One-on-one and group mentorship and business coaching
4. Evaluation and Follow-up: Evaluating project impact, providing follow-up support, monitoring progress.
5. Business Planning: Creating business plans, setting goals, and defining target markets.
6. Networking: Building relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.

The Wishwall Foundation’s funding has made this project possible, demonstrating their commitment to empowering women and promoting sustainable development thanks to its founder Simonetta Lein.
